Found something that looks wrong?
You are reading a detail that doesn’t match what you see on a label, a receipt, or a source. You want to know if the page is wrong. Here is how we handle that.
The site is run by people. Its pages are built and checked by the method on our How We Research page. Even so, a detail can be wrong or go out of date. If that has happened, we are sorry, and we want to put it right.
What to report
Tell us if you see any of these:
- A fact that is wrong, such as an ingredient, an amount, a price, a guarantee or refund term, or what a study found.
- A cited source that does not say what the page says, or a link that no longer works.
- The wrong product or maker, or details that have changed, including a recall or safety warning.
- A product described in a way that breaks advertising or health-claim rules.
- An ad or banner that is not labelled as one, or that makes a claim of its own.
For example, a page might give a study finding that the paper does not support. If you spot that, tell us which sentence it is and what the source actually says.
How to send a report
Use our contact page. Include:
- The page address.
- The exact sentence.
- A source for the correct information, if you have one.
What happens next
Each report is checked against the source. If the page is wrong, we fix it. The page’s date line then shows “Updated” with the date of the change.
What a correction covers
Corrections deal with facts and compliance. Decisions about which products a page covers, and how it compares them, are editorial choices. The publisher named on our About page makes those choices and discloses commissions and any connection to products shown.
You can still ask us to remove a comparison, a competing product, or an ad. These requests are not corrections, but they are read. If a comparison contains a wrong fact, that is a correction. If a maker finds something wrong about its product, we welcome the source so the page can be updated.
Legal notices and safety concerns
Send legal notices and concerns about a product’s safety through the contact page too. If you have been harmed by a product, speak with a clinician. You can also report it to the FDA through MedWatch.
